How does recipe generation work?
Steady Spoon generates recipes with a cloud service and includes a built-in local template fallback, so it works even without a network connection.
Why does photo identification not work?
Photo identification uses our cloud service to recognize foods in your photo. If nothing is detected, try another photo with clearer lighting.
Where are my saved recipes stored?
On your device only, stored in a database on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere. Uninstalling the app removes them.
How do I share a recipe?
Tap the share icon on a recipe card or saved recipe. Choose to send the recipe as a message, or share it as an .rtk file that can be imported directly into your My Recipe Box app.
What are the fanciness levels?
Simple, fancy, and very fancy. They change how elaborate the generated recipe is, from a quick weeknight dish to a composed plate.
What is the neurodiversity option?
You can select conditions such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia and others (or add your own). The recipe prompt is then tailored for a chef with those conditions.
The ad banner takes up space. Can I hide it?
The banner collapses to 0 height when no ad fills. It is also padded for the navigation bar on edge-to-edge devices.
What Android versions are supported?
Android 7.0 (API level 24) and later.
